Fritzbox Router configuration for a stable connection to the Reef Factory equipment

In this article, you will learn how to configure a 2.4 GHz network on your Fritzbox router and block the channel so that devices do not jump between them and lose connection.

1. Log in to the administration panel of the Fritzbox router:

a. Open a web browser on a device connected to your Wi-Fi network or via a cable to your router.

b. In the address bar, type one of the following domains:
"http://fritz.box" or "http://192.168.178.1"
and then press Enter.

2. Log in to the administration panel:

a. If this is your first time in the administration panel, enter the default login password.
By default*, it is:

Password: admin

*if the default password is different, you can find it on the sticker located on the device

b. If you have previously changed your password, enter the details you have set.

3. Find the wireless network settings:

Once logged in, go to the tab or section related to Wi-Fi settings.

4. Change the Wi-Fi channel:

In the Wi-Fi settings section, find the channel selection option. Usually, the 2.4 GHz channel options
can be found in a separate section for this frequency.

Next, select the manual channel selection option.

5. Save changes:

Once you have selected your preferred channel, you will usually find a button,

"Save", "Apply" or similar. Click it to apply the changes.

6. Restart the router:

In some cases, you may need to reboot the router for the new channel settings to be applied.

After following these steps, your Fritzbox router should transmit a Wi-Fi signal on the selected channel
in the 2.4 GHz band.
