Router configuration for a stable connection to Reef Factory equipment

In this article, you will learn how to configure a 2.4 GHz network on your router and block the channel so that devices do not jump between them and lose connection.

If you are using a Fritzbox router HERE you will find instructions how to configure your device

1. Log in to the router's administration panel:

You will need a web browser to do this. Enter the IP address of the router in the address bar of your browser.
The default address is often "192.168.1.1" or "192.168.0.1". You can also check this address on the bottom or back of the router, or in the user manual.

2. Enter your login details:

Once you have entered the IP address of the router into the top search bar window of your browser, you should be prompted for a username and password. Standard login details are often**:

Login: admin, Password: admin

**These may vary depending on the router model.
If you have changed these details before, enter the ones you have set.

3. Find the section on Wi-Fi settings:

After logging in, look for the section related to Wi-Fi settings. You will usually find it under names such as "Wireless", "Wi-Fi", "Network Settings" or similar.

4. Change the channel to the 2.4 GHz frequency:

In the Wi-Fi settings section, find the option for the 2.4 GHz network. There you will have the option to select a channel. There, you can set the channel automatically or manually select one of the available channels.

5. Save changes:

Once you have selected the channel, if necessary, save your changes by clicking on the 'Save' or 'Apply' button at the bottom of the page.

6. Restart router:

Sometimes these changes may require a reboot of the router to take place. In the settings section, you should find an option to apply the changes and possibly restart the device.

*Management of router settings may vary by model and manufacturer. It is advisable to refer to your router's manual for exact information on this.
